Before opening a file

How large can my P7M file be?

Choose a file up to 100 MiB. PDF previews and signature checks have a separate 20 MiB limit; XML reading is limited to 2 MiB. Larger contents can be extracted without a preview. Temporary recovery supports up to 25 MiB.

Can I open several documents?

Yes, one at a time. Save the result before choosing the next file: a new selection replaces the previous one. Pro plans cover further document downloads over time, with the same reader limits.

Is my document uploaded?

Files are read in your browser without sending their contents. Accounts and purchases use the network. Only buying or restoring a single export sends a SHA-256 file digest, without its name or contents.

Can every P7M become a PDF?

No. P7M is a container: its document may be PDF, XML, text or another format. Original contents are extracted; a non-PDF document is not turned into a PDF.

Does the check prove legal signature validity?

No. The reader separates digest and signature checks from unverified trust, revocation and time information. “Not checked” and “unsupported” do not mean “valid”.

Does a successful preflight guarantee extraction?

No. Preflight checks the structure and limits. Full extraction, preview or signature checks can still fail. You can try a single file for free.
